i get this error when starting X:
(ww) fglrx: No matching device Section for instance (BasID PCI:3:0:1) found
I also have a radeon 9700. so i emerged the ati-drivers and used /opt/ati/bin/fglrxconfig to configure my XF86Config.
I could need a little help ^^ |

I used to have that problem ( I have the same card). I'm trying to remember what I did to fix it... Did you enable support for agpgart in the kernel? |

i did not configured my kernel. so i can't tell
But someone on irc told me that only the LAST driver-version from ati solve this problem. i must emerge the ati drivers version 3.2.8
My current driver-version is 2.9.12
but any other suggestions are still welcome |
