normally I used to use ext2 on /boot, I have to have a separate /boot for my setup and am not wondering with my new ssd do I need to worry about trim on /boot. Meaning Ill have to use ext4, btrfs, etc. for boot?

Just use Ext2, don't worry about TRIM on /boot.
