when i made the link to timezoneinfo, it screwed up my time. like right now the time is 1pm but my clock is showing 9:10 THe date is right but the time is way off.
i make a link to /usr/share/zoneinfo/America/New_York
..... ---- JUST CHANGED r.conf after typing the above ---
ok so now i just changed the CLOCK line in rc.conf to "local" does this require a reboot to fix my time or do i have to manually edit my time settings?

im looking at "man date"
to set the date i need date -s=STRING

ok i got it
i used
date --set="Tue Oct 21 13:25:26 EDT 2003"
