man, this is irritating. I've used gentoo for a few months now and I love it, never really had errors with X or the like. I emerged all the necessary schtuff and then tried to get it running and it won't work. I told the fglrxconfig all my info, it wrote it, I modified it to use PCI:1:0:0 instead of :0:1 and it still looks for :0:1 and won't start because of this. I'm running kernel sources 2.4.22 with con klivas's patchset and the latest versions of everything mentioned on a VIA chipset with an ATI 9000 pro. I have built everything i need (agpgart, mtrr) into the kernel and my xf86config-4 file has nothing explicitly mentioning PCI:1:0:1. if anyone knows how to fix this, I'd really appreciate it. it's driving me mad. |
