The subject says it all, really.

I've set my localtime:

Code:
localtime -> /usr/share/zoneinfo/America/Indiana/Indianapolis


and rc.conf includes the line:

CLOCK="UTC"

(Actually, I've tried it both as UTC and as local to no avail - ntpdate always sets the clock to UTC, and gnome's clock applet also ignores this file).

I then update the time using ntpdate.

And gnome clock displays it exactly as it is without changing it to the proper time zone. Note also that the "date" command does display the correct time in the correct time zone.

In gnome 2.4 there is also no clock configuration utility. Anybody have a clue about how to fix this?
