Hi,
although I added my telephone system's server app with rc-update add tksuitectl it refuses to start up automatically. There's a symlink in /etc/runlevels/default and starting manually with /etc/init.d/tksuitectl start works fine, but the output of rc-status puzzles me:

Code:

# rc-status
Runlevel: default
  xdm                                                               [ started ]
  dcron                                                             [ started ]
  local                                                             [ started ]
  metalog                                                           [ started ]
  net.eth0                                                          [ started ]
  netmount                                                          [ started ]
  tksuitectl                                                        [ off     ]
  bootsplash                                                        [ started ]

What does [off] mean? How do I turn it [on]?

Cheers,
cvk

I think have the same problem with gnunet. The darn daemon won't start up when the computer does, but when root runs:
"/etc/init.d/gnunet start"
everything works fine.

I had the same problem with a script. My solution was to add /etc/init.d/<script> start to /etc/conf.d/local.start, and /etc/init.d/<script> stop to /etc/conf.d/local.stop. Works for me
