|
|
This has been bugging me for quite some time without being able to diagnose it. I am trying to move from Firefox to Midori as main web-browser, but I can't access my bank at www.bancodobrasil.com.br because the java plugin does not work in Midori (Firefox on the same webpage works fine).
Running Midori on console shows
Code: | ERROR: Didn't find JVM under /usr/lib/nsbrowser/plugins
WebKitPluginProcess: ../../../../src/plugin/solaris/plugin2/common/JavaVM.c:170: InitializeJVM: Assertion `foundJVM' failed. |
I changed the symbolic link there to the actual plugin
Code: | $ ls -l /usr/lib/nsbrowser/plugins/javaplugin.so
total 18784
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 50 Apr 13 15:44 javaplugin.so -> /opt/oracle-jre-bin-1.7.0.51/lib/amd64/libnpjp2.so
|
and added another one just in case
Code: | $ ls -l /usr/lib/nsbrowser/plugins/libnpjp2.so
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 50 Apr 13 15:56 /usr/lib/nsbrowser/plugins/libnpjp2.so -> /opt/oracle-jre-bin-1.7.0.51/lib/amd64/libnpjp2.so

But still the same problem. The bank page says that it can't find the java plugin. Going to java.com also can't verify my java installation.
I'm running
Code: | $ equery uses midori
[ Legend : U - final flag setting for installation]
[ : I - package is installed with flag ]
[ Colors : set, unset ]
* Found these USE flags for www-client/midori-0.5.8:
U I
- - deprecated : Enable GTK+-2 instead of GTK+-3 because of external plugins like
adobe-flash
- - doc : Add extra documentation (API, Javadoc, etc). It is recommended to enable
per package instead of globally
- - granite : Enable support for the elementary library dev-libs/granite
- - introspection : Add support for GObject based introspection
+ + jit : Enable just-in-time compilation for improved performance. May prevent
use of some PaX memory protection features in Gentoo Hardened.
+ + webkit2 : Enable WebKit2 API that splits web content rendering and application UI
into separate processes
- - zeitgeist : Add support for Zeitgeist event tracking system
$ java-config --list-available-vms
The following VMs are available for generation-2:
*) Oracle JRE 1.7.0.51 [oracle-jre-bin-1.7]

Any help is more than welcome! |
