Usually I used ctrl+alt+function key to switch between virtual consoles, however on my laptop it only requires alt and a function key. This is very annoying because I like to use alt+F2 to launch programs but it ends up switching to another virtual console. Not sure how I changed it but I'd like to restore the original functionality. |

Normally alt-Fx is used for virtual terminals when you're in console mode. If you're in a GUI/X11 this is usually disabled and ctrl-alt-Fx is needed.
You'll have to look at what GUI you're using and seeing how the keyboard shortcuts map out... if you are using a GUI at all? _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD
