| I would like to buy card with this chip, how much of problems am i supposed to expect from kernel 2.4 or kernel 2.6? I heard some people are having problems installing gentoo with that card, so i just wanna know what will happen if I buy this card. |

| I have a 9600 Pro and it works great. I suggest you avoid the 9600 TX, as I don't think support for it is in our XFree yet. There are many varieties of 9600 that do work though. |
