I have Apache2 running with mod_php. I want to use SSL as well. Part of my USE flags include ssl. With Apache 1.3.x it was installed and configured automatically. This appears to not be the case with Apache2.
Can someone provide me with some pointers to get SSL propery configured so that my DocumentRoot is viewable via https as well? Thanks. |

I don't know, it all stoped working on my machine... but I'm still using apache 1.3...
add apache2 to your use flags?
one of these modules can only be built for one version of apache...
Witch brings the point... why don't we have slots for incompatible use flags? |

It seems that for Apache 1.3.x that the certificates where automatically generated for you. This is not the case with Apache2. You need to create the cerficates, which I did and my apache info page http://localhost/server-info does show that mod_ssl has been loaded, but when I try to connect to https://localhost/, I get a connection error.
Any ideas? Thanks! |
