I'm making a dual boot system on a single HD and im wondering if it'll be a problem installing gentoo first and then installing winXP.
i'm kinda woried that win will screw up the MBR.
well if annybody out there is nice you'll tell me in whar order to install the 2 OS's _________________ ----------------------------------------------------------

You shuld install XP first because win will screw up the MBR. So if you didn't install gentoo yet install XP first.This is simple way. I think that other way is possible too (gentoo first then XP) but not sure becouse i don't use windows any more. Look at forum there been a debate about that before. Anyway win will only screw up MBR not your linux partitions. So you will only have to repair boot loader if you install win after gentoo. |
