sendmail -v <email address> results in --

ls -l /var/spool/ | grep --regexp=mqueue --regexp=mail
drwxrwx--- 2 smmsp smmsp 42 Aug 5 09:44 clientmqueue
drwxrwxrwx 2 root mail 3 Jul 20 21:27 mail
drwxr-xrwx 2 smmsp root 3 Jul 20 21:29 mqueue

Tried adding myself in the mail group, tried as root. Same result.
