I install kde desktop and xdg-user-dirs. but when I creat a *.desktop file in $HOME/desktop/, but nothing ever happened on desktop. What should i do to fix it? by the way i have tried to reboot my computer |

The kde desktop from 4.0 onwards does not read ~/Desktop anymore by default. But you have different "containments" or "layouts".
Go to your Desktop settings (rightclick on desktop or through the Cashew-like icon somewhere in a corner) and change the layout to Folder View (hope that's how it's called in english). Then you can select a directory that holds the files you want to show on your desktop.
If you only want to show some shortcuts you also can simply drag&drop your desktop file in an empty area on your current desktop, it should create an icon (as configured in the desktop file). |

My kde miss something. I install kdebase-meta.. i can't find the directory button but i can find it in opensuse.i dont know which package i should install |
