Then I'll jump in.
I assume that every user has good intentions (until proven otherwise). I wouldn't give a programmer with over 10,000 posts in this forum for 20 years a general recommendation about programming, but I don't see anything off-topic if this post is in the “Portage & Programming” forum.
I also note when a user has attracted unpleasant attention and realize that this is NOT the case with @spica. On the contrary, I remember that he sent me a helpful link.
On the other hand, I would not see that it is a personal attack. @logrusx has been very active and helpful for several years and sometimes takes things even more seriously than necessary.
If you two need to clarify this in more detail please do so via PN. _________________ https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/User:Pietinger |

Both, logrusx and spica, expressed their views on the topic an the methods they'd use.
There wasn't particularly nothing too wrong or ill intent on the topic.
However on this report topic things are now heated. I hope both of you accept that you have different views of the matter.
There's no need for finger pointing. _________________ ..: Zucca :..

Nothing heated, I've no intention to follow up further, you can delete all those posts as they are unnecessary now. |

Reason: Time to lock another one of this user's nonsense threads.
I left the conversation, but I'll watch if the topic takes a turn... to better or to worse. --Zucca

Topic: NFS server/client install fails here...
Post: post 8852491
Reason: The thread should be moved to "personal blog" as the user is not looking for support.
Thx for the report. It started as a question and we do not have such a category. Will keep an eye on it. -- Banana |

Topic: new programming language
Reason: I don't see anything related to programing, portage or a support request but another one of those attempts to make others do something. That ain't gonna happen. If that dude wants something done, it's about time they get their hands dirty. This thread has no place in any of the support forums.
Please see my post in this thread. -- pietinger |

Reason: I fear the thread is taking a nasty turn. The language here is a bit out of line.

Reason: Good stuff. Should go to howtos, tips and tricks, so it doesn't fade into obscurity again. _________________ Make Computing Fun Again |
