Hello, I've been trying to install Gentoo on my LG Gram 17, but I've been unable to boot the installation media. I can get to the Grub menu, but after that, I get a message saying "Trying to terminate efi services again" and it stalls forever. I've disabled secure boot and have messed with pretty much every relevant setting in the BIOS, but to no avail. Almost all of the instances I've found online where this has occurred is after the installation process and is an issue setting up the bootloader, but since I can't even boot into the image, I'm not really sure where to go. Any help is appreciated, thanks. |

It doesn't matter which media you use to install Gentoo. I frequently encounter problems with the Gentoo ISO's too. Instead I mostly use systemrescuecd (it used to be Gentoo based, but is Arch based nowadays). This usually works very well and has better support than the Gentoo ISO's. |

Thanks for this help, I also have the same problem with Gentoo ISOs. It's quite problematic and as a result, I wonder if everything is well installed without error. |
