first of all, great work of you on the forum and thanks to all the support i could give and recieve....
but when browsing through the forum, sometimes i think the topics on the post aren't specific enough on the problem. so when writing my own "support calls" i figure out why it is so. sometime there isn't a chance to put the specific information in the topic.
40 chars don't seem to be enough. what about expending them (e. g. to 65 or 80 chars)?

I think that 80 chars would be good. Now it's difficult to say anything about the problem - I don't think you want us to title our topics "problem" or "help".  |

that's one problem i'm complainig about... by now, i don't even read such posts with "help" or similar topics...
but to write a topic that tell's you, what's inside a post you need more characters... it's like a headline in a newspaper...

The limit is currently 60 characters, but some characters are html escaped before the limit is imposed, see post 2386818.

sorry, my bad... i tried yesterday with my firefox on gentoo by typing 1234567890..... and i came to 40 chars. now i tried with firefox on windows (my machine at work) and i could type in 60 chars...
i'll try out again when at home...
