If I dail using my windows box with ICS and can use https:// on both pc but if I dail with my gentoo box both pc's can not use https://?

http:// works fine tho

when i dail with pppd i get this

Code:

devfs_register(ppp): could not append to parent, err: -17

but everything with pppd seems to work fine.

Anyone have ANY idea of what the problem is
I have recompiled the kernel and pppd a number of times with no change.
