I've been informed that app-emulation/parallels-workstation-2.2.2112 ebuild has bad DEPENDs.
it's causing problems with me using pquery and perhaps is why equery isn't working either. _________________ I don't hang out here anymore, try asking on http://unix.stackexchange.com/ if you want my help. |

I was trying to build kcontrol-3.5.9 from arcon, and got this msg:
Code: |
* Cannot find $EPATCH_SOURCE! Value for $EPATCH_SOURCE is:
*
* /var/tmp/portage/kde-base/kcontrol-3.5.9/work/patch
* ( patch )

* ERROR: kde-base/kcontrol-3.5.9 failed.

* environment, line 3238: Called base_src_unpack 'autopatch'
* environment, line 648: Called epatch ''
* environment, line 2093: Called die
* The specific snippet of code:
sed: can't read /var/tmp/portage/kde-base/kcontrol-3.5.9/temp/environment: No such file or directory
* The die message:
* Cannot find $EPATCH_SOURCE!
*
* If you need support, post the topmost build error, and the call stack if relevant.
* A complete build log is located at '/var/log/portage/kde-base:kcontrol-3.5.9:20080609-052735.log'.
* The ebuild environment file is located at '/var/tmp/portage/kde-base/kcontrol-3.5.9/temp/die.env'.
* This ebuild is from an overlay: '/usr/local/portage/layman/arcon/'
*

seems like somehow patches were extraces to $WORKDIR/patches/, while epatch were expected $WORKDIR/patch/
is this a bug? _________________ -----------------------------------------------------------

I would like to let You all know, that SVN repository located originally on SourceForge.NET servers has been closed and is used no longer since almost 2 weeks. This of course does not mean, it is not accessible, or it cannot be used any longer. All data remains there. Whatever, You should not expect any updated,
In last time we have migrated to faster and more reliable SVN server located in France. It is accessible via svn:// protocol instead of https:// what avoids receiving WWW trash from it. All in all it is noticable faster. What is bad, we currently have not imported overlay there and we are not sure if we ever will. We have lack of people that might maintain it.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
1. Well-known and trusted in Gentoo community person that might control and maintain overlay. This person would have control over everything happens to overlay, what is in it and who is for what responsible.
2. People who might maintain some specified tree(s) and/or packages (eg 1 person maintains IMs, second *-sources, etc...)
3. Person or Peole who may create and/or find and put into overlay a user-requested ebuilds. That is what made Arcon Overlay user-oriented overlay. We have not included all packages we thought You may need, but mainly theese, You have requested.
There is also an idea of making "United Overlay" that may join together few small overlays...
It depends on You all if this overlay will survive!
All questions and offers please send to me (PW or #arcon @ freenode) _________________ Asio Software Technologies
